On August 20th and 21st, 2024, students of Suraj School, Sector 56, Gurugram, had an extraordinary opportunity to participate in a series of insightful workshops and interactions at the Nehru Planetarium, New Delhi. This event, organized under the banner of #Sciencetalks and #Studentsconferences, was a remarkable platform for young minds to delve into the world of space research and scientific exploration. The workshops featured esteemed scientists from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), including Dr. Tirtha Pratim Das, Director of the Science Programme Office at ISRO Headquarters, Bangalore. Dr. Das, along with other experts, provided an in-depth overview of India’s space research programs, igniting a passion for space science among the students. The event also featured Mr. Abhinav Shukla, the Founder of ‘Stem and Space,’ who shared his insights on the integration of STEM education with space science. The interactive sessions allowed the students to engage directly with these scientific leaders, asking questions and gaining valuable knowledge about the intricacies of space exploration. This enriching experience not only broadened the students' understanding of space science but also inspired many to pursue careers in STEM fields.
